Tagine of Fish with Algerian Spices
A flavorful and aromatic North African dish made with fish, algerian spices, and a hint of peppery heat.
Ingredients
- β1 pound Fish (such as Cod or Tilapia)
- β2 tablespoons Algerian spices (including cumin, coriander, and cinnamon)
- β1 teaspoon Peppercorns
- β2 cups Aerated water
- β1 tablespoon Olive oil
- βto taste Salt
- βchopped (optional) Fresh parsley
Instructions

Rinse the fish and pat it dry with paper towels.

Heat the olive oil in a large skillet or Dutch oven over medium heat.

Add the Algerian spices and peppercorns and stir for 1-2 minutes.

Add the fish and cook for 2-3 minutes on each side, or until it's cooked through.

Add the aerated water to the pan and bring to a simmer.

Reduce the heat to low and cook for an additional 5-7 minutes, or until the fish is cooked through and the sauce has thickened.

Season with salt to taste.
